We invented our revolutionary ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 2023 by improving (a lot of know-how) our ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 1994, where we used a rotary looper for the first time in the world to form a double thread chain stitch and for which US Patent No. 6095069 was granted in 2000.

THE HISTORY OF THE REVOLUTIONARY ZARIF DOUBLE THREAD CHAIN STITCH TECHNOLOGY FROM 2023

In 1994, we were the first in the world to invent ZARIF technology for forming a double thread chain stitch type 401 using a rotary looper and for which US Patent No. 6095069 was issued in 2000.

As is known from history, the rotary looper was invented in 1857 by the American inventor James Edward Allen Gibbs, and he used it in the technology of forming a single thread chain stitch type 101 for his single thread chain stitch sewing machine and for which US Patent No. 17427 was issued in 1857.

If, in the technology of single thread chain stitch, the rotary looper makes one revolution in one cycle of needle movement, then in our ZARIF technology double thread chain stitch from 1994, the rotary looper makes two turns in one cycle of needle movement. 

The rotary looper consists of one part and is the only working unit in sewing technology that is able to circle the loops of threads around its body, turning them 180 degrees with its tail.

Therefore, the use of a rotary looper in our ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 1994 allowed us to be the first in the world to obtain a new double thread chain stitch type 401, where the loops of the top and bottom threads are rotated 180 degrees.

In 1997, we manufactured the world's first prototype ZARIF double thread chain stitch sewing machine, working on the basis of our ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 1994 using a rotary looper, by reconstructing the lockstitch sewing machine class 1022 of the Company «Orsha» (Belarus).

Our experiments carried out on a prototype ZARIF sewing machine allowed us to discover the shortcomings of our ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 1994 in sewing various materials. 

Then, in 1997, we set a goal, by improving our prototype ZARIF sewing machine, to make it the most universal sewing machine in the world for high-quality sewing of various materials.

We have manufactured a prototype ZARIF sewing machine double thread chain stitch of an on the constructive basis of an industrial lockstitch sewing machine of the 1022 class of the «Orsha» Company (Belarus), removing from it the mechanisms of the lever thread take-up of the top thread and the hook.

As know, of all types of thread seams, straight thread seams are very widely used in the manufacture of various sewing products, such as clothing, headgear, shoes, bags, backpacks, upholstered furniture, car covers, soft toys, tents, home textiles, etc.

It is also known that thread seams are a universal type of joining materials, since they allow join any types of materials compared to non-thread types of joining materials, such as joining materials using welding and adhesives.

Consequently, at present, the further development of technologies for the formation of thread stitches is an urgent task of our time.

Our revolutionary ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 2023 solves this urgent task in sewing straight thread seams.

As know, at present, a lock stitch type 301 and a double thread chain stitch type 401 are mainly used to produce a straight-line thread seam, the formation technologies of which were invented back in the 19th century, which have eternal disadvantages, because of which it is impossible to make an ideal-universal sewing machine based on them.

The commercialization of our revolutionary ZARIF double thread chain stitch technology from 2023 in various types of sewing machines and automated sewing systems, allows to increase the share of the use of the double thread chain stitch type 401 in a straight thread seam due to the wide replacement of the lockstitch type 301.
